We are a very busy and progressive small animal hospital in Northeast Indiana, looking for a dedicated, qualified, and passionate Associate Veterinarian to join our two-doctor team and wonderful support staff, including five Registered Technicians that we use to the fullest. Our services include laser therapy, medicine, surgery, dental, behavioral consultations, and training with a Karen Pryor Academy graduate. We are looking for the perfect candidate to help us grow at our brand new, state of the art facility projected to open January 2018! The new facility will also feature high-end boarding, new equipment, and the most up-to-date technology available to serve our clients better.
Associate Veterinarian duties include, but are not limited to: hands-on patient care for examinations, diagnosis, and treatment, surgical and dental procedures, and maintaining patient medical records through established protocols. The perfect candidate for this position will have a strong desire and ability to build rapport with clients by listening to them and empathizing with their concerns, and staying current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine to most effectively educate the client and treat our patients. The candidate will also demonstrate a professional and courteous manner with fellow staff members, our patients, their human companions, and present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public. Candidate must have a commitment to continuing educational development and growth, practicing the highest standard of medicine, and upholding the veterinary code of ethics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with efficiency in time management are also a must. On-call duties shared with other Veterinarians on staff. DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited university and valid State of Indiana Veterinary License.
