Peninsula Equine Medical Center is looking for an additional intern! Our competitive internship has one opening for the 2018-2019 intern year. Our goal is to provide a well rounded internship that rotates between hospital and ambulatory phases, with particular focus on sports medicine. The internship is ideally suited for those looking to have an ambulatory component to their internship experience and who have a particular interest in sports medicine, yet still want to see a little bit of everything. Significant mentorship available to our interns. Senior clinicians include two ISELP-certified clinicians, one boarded sports medicine vet, one ABVP-Equine vet, 2 doctors with acupuncture certification, and one with chiropractic certification. Advanced learning is a cornerstone of Peneq. Our clinic facilities include nuclear scintigraphy, digital radiography, ultrasound, surgery suite, therapeutic lasers, prostride, PRP, and IRAP machines, endoscopy, in house lab equipment, and a 10 stall barn. We strive to provide comprehensive care to our high end sport horse clientele, with everything from wellness care and dentistry to sports medicine, prepurchase exams, orthopedic surgical care and medical and surgical management of colics. Interns rotate between in-house and ambulatory duties. Highly competitive salary and benefits. Housing on site in desirable Silicon Valley is provided. One weekday off per week. Attendance at our annual ISELP meeting and one additional CE meeting included.
