Our DVM team is very collaborative and cohesive, and they work together to promote continuity of care.
We're open 7 days a week and prioritize creating a schedule that helps you achieve your work-life goals. Our current DVMs prefer 4 day work weeks, with a mix of procedure, traditional appointment, and urgent care shifts to keep things interesting.
It's an authentically healthy culture, with a highly educated support staff that includes a dedicated practice manager, certified veterinary technicians, and a warm, personable reception team.
We have great diagnostic and treatment tools: digital DR and dental radiography, ultrasound, a full in house Abaxis laboratory, top notch anesthetic support and monitoring equipment, therapy laser, and more.
Our clients are especially receptive to dental care recommendations, and we perform dental procedures daily.
We offer payment options that help clients overcome the cost barrier to your recommendations.
The appointment schedule is structured to allow for lunch, same day/sick appointments, and time for documentation at the end of the day.

Required Competencies and Experience:
Current Oregon DVM license (or the ability to obtain licensing in Oregon)
Willingness and ability to manage multiple patients in a busy multi-doctor practice
Comfortable with dental procedures and a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries
Excellent communication skills, with a high affinity for clients and staff
Commitment to continuing education to grow your medical knowledge
Appropriately diagnose and treat patients
Advocate for a high standard of preventative and medical care
Educate and guide clients through the process of making medical decisions for their pet
Build a positive rapport with clients in the clinic and through follow up care and communication
Keep current, accurate medical records for all patients and procedures
Provide medical supervision to technical staff
Contribute to a positive work place
Additional Salary Information: $1500 per year Continuing Education allowance

About Brookswood Animal Clinic
We opened our doors almost 4 years ago and have been fortunate to see our small animal veterinary practice grow rapidly. Brookswood Animal Clinic is a fast paced modern veterinary hospital with a dedicated team of experienced and passionate doctors and staff. We believe in creating individual health solutions for each of our client’s unique pets, and are always exploring new ways to meet this goal. Our current facility expansion will add a new dental suite, a dedicated cat-only waiting area, and increase our number of exam rooms to five. We practice medicine in a high-tech/high-tough environment with digital DR and dental radiography, ultrasound, therapy laser, and a complete in house laboratory for fast diagnostics. Our support team of CVTs are knowledgeable, cohesive, and committed to using Fear-Free principles to create better patient experiences.
