Arroyo Grande Veterinary Hospital is growing and we are looking for a career-oriented, long-term Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team! **THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION** The successful candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced veterinary environment. RVT license is a plus.
Proper Animal Restraint Blood Draws Assist in surgery prep and set-up Assist in surgery Digital radiology Monitoring of anesthesia and knowledge of Client education General Nursing Care Filling Prescriptions -- basic knowledge of oral and injectable medications Assisting doctor in room Maintenance of patient records (written)
Must work well in a team setting GREAT ability to multi-task and be self-motivated Knowledge of basic office functions and typing skills Dependable and punctual Must be available to work weekends and holidays (Saturday availability is required) Must be able to work 4/10 hours shifts and overtime as required
