Sunset Veterinary Clinic is a busy, small animal clinic with a loyal client base. We have been in business since 1996 and recently moved into our new facility in 2014. Sunset is currently a 3-doctor practice (2 owners and 1 associate). We are a close team operating in a professional, yet fun and compassionate environment. We believe in investing in our team. By advancing our staff’s knowledge and skills, we can improve the quality of care for our patients.
Workplace perks include flexible schedules, modern facilities and equipment, and more. We have a highly trained support staff, which allows veterinarians to delegate tasks when appropriate. Our entire team works together, and we take great pride in maintaining a clean sanitized facility for our patients, our clients, and our staff.
Expected working hours would be between 36-40 hours a week, including rotating Saturday mornings. Each veterinarian has a set day off during the week. We are open Mon-Fri 7:30-6 and Sat 8-12. We schedule our first appointment at 8 a.m. and our last at 5:30 p.m. Clinical experience is preferred.
Benefits include paid holidays and vacation time, license renewal, employee discounts, continuing education, health insurance, matching IRA contribution, and more. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and production.
We are seeking a friendly, motivated, full-time veterinarian to practice high-quality medicine. He/She will need to have an attention for detail, high levels of communication skills, and be able to respond quickly while remaining calm in high-stress situations. Job duties would include comprehensive patient examinations, diagnostic screening and treatments, etc. The associate veterinarian has the primary responsibility for patient care and must strive to provide the highest quality of care and medicine for our patients. He/She will also need to be able to communicate clearly to pet owners and effectively relay findings, possible diagnostics, prognoses, and recommendations. The veterinarian must also be able to promote teamwork and staff efficiency by communicating pertinent information to veterinary assistants, receptionists, and fellow veterinarians thoroughly and respectfully. The associate veterinarian will also be responsible for practicing good surgical techniques including pre-op, post-op, and discharge care.
