The Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a full time Hospital Administrator. The successful candidate will provide operational oversight and leadership for the Veterinary Health Center personnel and, in collaboration with the Hospital Director and Clinical Sciences Department Head, is responsible for maintaining an environment that produces high quality patient care, client service, teaching, and research. The Hospital Administrator must work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively develop and lead teams. The successful candidate will be responsive to faculty, staff, and client concerns and ensure effective and consistent communication and feedback channels among these various customer groups.
The successful candidate will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining practices and policies to ensure hospital operations remain efficient, financially viable, and positive for patients, clients and employees. Oversight of hospital safety and compliance with hospital policies will also be key components of this position.
Eight to ten years managing and/or providing direction in a hospital/ health entity, training hospital entity and/or a professional medical training organization
MBA or MHA, or relevant Masters degree
Excellent knowledge of business processing, management, and hospital operations
