Full-time veterinarian for mixed animal / companion animal predominant practice in beautiful, small-town, northwest GA. Mixed animal experience with dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and some small ruminant and swine experience is preferred, but all experience and interest levels considered. An applicant with a special interest in herd health for everything from hobby-sized farms to large cow-calf operations would be ideal. 4 to 4.5 day/wk schedule, with every other week emergency (farm animal only - small animal after hours are referred to e-clinic); approx 25mi service radius. Buy-in option available for the right fit. Good client communication skills are a must.
SALARY / BENEFITS

Established in 1978, with two current full-time and one part-time, semi-retired veterinarian. One co-owner, retired; the other co-owner has worked at MCVS for 15 years. Multi-year veterinary assistants on-staff (8 staff total). Plans for renovation stalled by COVID, but hopefully getting restarted within a couple of years. Full suite of IDEXX equipment on-site; also digital in-house and mobile x-ray; cold laser; power-float; BSE equipment; intrauma orthopedic plating system. We believe in treating our clients how we would like to be treated, and have worked hard to earn and keep their trust over the years.
We are 20 minutes from Dalton, GA and I-75, but are also right at the Cohutta Wilderness and Fort Mountain State Park, with the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests and the Blue Ridge Mountains within half an hour drive - that's a big backyard to play in. Enjoy a below average cost of living. An hour and a half from Atlanta, and 45 minutes from Chattanooga, TN.
