Associate Veterinarian for Central Vermont Mixed Practice
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital
Location: Montpelier, Vermont
Type: Full Time
Required Education: DVM or equivalent
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital in Montpelier, Vermont seeks a mixed or small animal practitioner for our rapidly growing mixed animal practice.
We are a full service practice serving central Vermont. We pride ourselves on client-centered care that hinges on integrity, honesty, and a goal to offer the best care for our patients. Our 4 doctor practice is currently comprised of 70% small animal patients, however, the recent acquisition of a large animal practice in our area has expanded the dairy, beef, small ruminant, and equine components of our practice significantly. We provide our own emergency services and prefer a DVM who will join an after hours emergency rotation. A good fit would be a new or recent graduate that could grow with our practice, we can provide excellent mentorship. We are also open to a part-time DVM.
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital was purchased in 2018 as an established small animal practice with the intent to expand as a true mixed practice. If you would like to know your clients and their pets by name, work up advanced medicine cases, expand your surgery skills, and learn something new about medicine every day, we want to meet you.
We are located in central Vermont within a 45 minute drive of 4 major ski resorts, several world-renowned microbreweries, and expansive trail networks for hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling.
Our hospital is equipped with all the normal equipment you would expect, including stationary and portable DR radiography, in house CBC/chem/UA, endoscopy, small animal and repro ultrasound, 2 field vehicles etc.
Schedule is a 4 day work week. Benefits include a competitive salary (or prosal, situation dependent), generous emergency compensation, dues and licenses, 401k with match, paid vacation, CE allowance, flexible schedule.
