We are a small animal veterinary office in the heart of east TN. Seymour is a small community with beautiful mountain views and just 30 minutes away from Knoxville (12 from south knox), Sevierville, Maryville, and Alcoa TN. Our clinic consists of 1 full time vet, and 1 part time vet currently. We offer a laid back personal atmosphere but focus on a high level of care for our patients. We are flexible in scheduling.
We are a growing clinic and pay an hourly wage to allow for scheduling flexibility and to prevent overworking salaried employees. We do have bonus structures and opportunities
*** with our bonuses our support staff normally averages $20-21 per hour at the end of the year - in addition often get $400-500 in uniforms (shirts, scrubs, shoes) by years end.******
Full Time benefits after 60-90 days: Dental/Vision through BCBS 100% employer covered, setting up BCBS 50% employer backed health insurance with HSA, discounted pet food and veterinary services, and eligibility for weekly and monthly bonuses including uniforms (scrubs and shoes). Vacation and paid time off earned at 1 year employment.
An ideal candidate would be an assistant or tech who excels at client communication (loves to learn about vet medicine and teach others) and fear free handling of patients. We frequently work with a local shelter as well for complex pediatric, senior, and emergency care. We also handle client emergencies during business hours. Familiarity with PCs is preferred because we have a DR Digital Xray, ultrasound, electronic records (AVIMARK), online pharmacy, and a Rewards APP. Euthanasias are treated with care, compassion and extended time when possible so we prefer staff who are comfortable being with clients during grief. We work with clients of various incomes and create treatment plans that are unique for each patient and owner budget. Routine days include preventative care visits, allergy visits, dental cleanings, basic surgery, and hospitalized patient care.
Please visit our website for common hours, location, & clinic and staff photos.
Currently M-Thur 8-5:30 (most employees exit by 6pm), Fridays 8-4. Closed weekends but kennel duty available after 90 days.

The most frequent compliment we get from our clients is that our doctors and STAFF take the time to explain things in simple ways and that our staff is very knowledgeable. We believe that the more we teach our clients the better care they will take of the pets.
We currently currently only see canine and feline patients
Tattoos and non-natural hair color are accepted as long as the knowledge can back up the appearance :) We are also happy to work with working mom/dad schedules.
Covid vaccines preferred - current staff is vaccinated and the clinic is no longer curbside.
Drama and Toxic behavior discouraged - everyone is on the same team with the same goal under our roof.
Any experience level considered but very interested in Licensed Technician. Willing to train on the job if limited experience
