Reading through the employment ads, they all start to look the same.  You get a little history, some real estate information and then an equipment list.  The most important part of a veterinary hospital is the people!  We get that!  We have employees that have been with us for decades, I think that says something about our team!

Currently, we have 3 hospitals. Our main facility, Village Oak Veterinary Hospital, is located in Modesto;   was built in 2001 and is a 9000 sq.ft. free standing hospital.  We have 4 full time general practitioners, and a support staff of 20, with several R.V.T.s to assist the doctors.  Village Oak also has the benefit of specialists that work with the general practitioners and see referral cases at our hospital.  Currently we have Dr. Bradbury our internal medicine specialist, Dr. David Detweiler our radiologist, Dr. Brian Mackie our cardiologist, and our boarded surgeon Dr. J.T. Vida..  We have digital X-ray and digital dental X-ray, surgical laser, ultrasound, arthroscopy, tonopens, and new in house laboratory equipment.  For the convenience of our clients we also offer boarding and grooming.

Northgate Veterinary Hospital is the newest of our hospitals built in nearby Manteca.  This hospital was built in 2004 and is our most rapidly growing practice.  This 6,500 sq ft practice supports 3 full time general practitioners an is surrounded by new single family housing.  

Our third location, Manteca Veterinary Hospital is one of the oldest practices in the state.  Started in the 50’s as a large animal practice and transitioning to mixed in the 70’s.  We purchased Manteca Veterinary Hospital in 1993 and made it strictly small animal.  Due to the growth of this practice, we have replaced the old facility with a brand new hospital, and it has taken off.

Due to the success of our practices and growth of the surrounding area we are looking for two additional doctors.  We have great, modern hospitals; motivated staff, and great clients….. What we need is a great general practitioner!!!!  We offer a competitive starting salary (negotiable, everything is negotiable), $20,000.00 for moving expenses, health insurance allowance, employer funded profit sharing plan, C.E. allowance, association memberships, no emergency calls, paid vacations and personal days and much more.

About Village Oak Veterinary Hospital

We currently operate three small animal practices in the Modesto area. While our business has been providing veterinary care to the Modesto area for the last 50 years, we have upgraded our original facilities to provide better care. All of our hospitals are less than 18 years old, free standing, and very well equipped. The staff currently includes 9 general practitioners, 5 specialists, and 30 support staff. Our specialists are boarded in dermatology, radiology, cardiology and surgery.
